If you live in the New York area and listen to the “Boomer and Carton Show” on WFAN, then you may know that they like to play a certain sound bite when talking about the Mets’ utility player Jordany Valdespin.

Well, with the way he is playing of late, Valdespin might be turning into the “man” as the versatile player is starting to have his impact felt on the field. In his last 13 games, Valdespin is 11-35 with one home run, one triple, four doubles and nine runs driven in.
While his overall numbers (including a .224/.250/.431 slash line...

Dillon Gee was masterful, Frank Francisco walked the tight rope and a bunch of doubles were enough for the Mets on Wednesday night.
Gee went seven-and-one-third innings, allowing just two runs on three hits. He walked two and struck out nine in a brilliant outing, at one point retiring 13 in-a-row. He turned it over to the bullpen for the final five outs and they made it worth the...

The gopher was well-fed by the time Sunday afternoon came around and the Yankees smirked...

THAT's what's up
We don’t need to scream from the back of the Dickey congregation any longer. He’s been found by all at this point. It’s simply awesome to watch. A knuckleballer that’s captivating any baseball fan worth his salt. The story is amazing. But, more impressively, the pitching is amazing. Dickey’s array of knucklers is dazzling. The fast one. The slower...
