Hey genius, you’re out!

New York Mets catcher and resident dumb@$$ Josh Thole made an epic mental blunder during the second inning of the team's match-up with the Phillies. After Thole reached base on an infield single, Mets pitcher R.A. Dickey successfully bunted the catcher over to second and into scoring position momentarily. Apparently as Josh was heading into second, Philadelphia shortstop, Jimmy Rollins, jokingly gestured to the baserunner that the ball went foul. The gullible Thole inexplicably turned around and headed back to first, only to be tagged out for the third out of the inning.

Congrats on making the bonehead play of the year Mr. Thole, you are now officially a Met! Surprisingly this play did not cost the Mets the victory, as they would go on to win 5-2.

BUFFALO BISONS AAA The Bisons got corralled Thursday afternoon by a score of 7-2 at the hands of the SWB Yankees in Buffalo. Mets Never Saw Reyes As Longterm Investment, Cautious Wright May Be Injury Prone

Andy Martino of the Daily News may have opened up a can of worms this morning with a couple of quotes in which he matter of factly states the following: As the Daily News reported in February, the Mets hope that Wright will justify another multi-year commitment, and remain the face of their franchise for years. The team’s outlook on Wright differs dramatically from their view...

Mets handle Phillies, 5-2

Before Friday’s series opener with the visiting New York Mets, Phillies manager Charlie Manuel talked about the importance of being patient against knuckleballer R.A. Dickey. Easier said than done when confronted with the floater. The Phillies took their hacks but were thrown off rhythm by the righthander, whose previous history at Citizens Bank Park left much to be desired. Dickey...
