K-Rod Press Conference Announced

As I wrote a earlier this afternoon, a press conference would be scheduled to announce the signing of Francisco Rodriguez sometime in the next few hours. Well, just like clockwork and right on cue, a Mets source has announced that Omar Minaya is expected to speak with reporters within the hour. He will be speaking live from the Belllagio, and I am almost certain that Francisco Rodriguez will be present and that Jerry Manuel will be too. Rodriguez took a tour of Citi Field today following his physical, which leads me to believe everything is good and that they got the Mets thumbs up sign. Judging by the time he took the tour, and the travel time from here to Las Vegas, he should be pulling onto the tarmac just about now, and the press conference will begin soon after. He was already outfitted with his own Mets jersey (number 75?) and cap, and I can't wait to see him wearing our colors. Welcome to the Mets K-Rod!
