Dioner Navarro's batting average was below .200 for most of this season, yet he continued to remain on the roster and split the playing time with Rod Barajas. On Tuesday, now that Barajas is healthy and available to start, the Dodgers designated Navarro for assignment, citing "philosophical differences."
