Good news for the Rangers: Brandon Morrow will indeed be Seattle's starting pitcher Friday for the opener of a three-game series with the Rangers, who have enjoyed facing the hard-throwing right-hander this season. He had been scratched a few days ago to pitch in a Triple A playoff game, but that won't happen now. There reportedly are concerns that Morrow has a blister and forearm tightness. Luke Scott, who Morrow will be replacing, will be in the bullpen for long relief. If Morrow is hurt and as hittable has he has been against the Rangers this season, Scott might be in the game early anyway. -- Jeff Wilson
