Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen swapped hitters in the middle of his batting order Friday, moving Giancarlo Stanton to fourth and dropping Logan Morrison to fifth.

Stanton is batting .289 and leads the team with 11 home runs, including 10 this month -- the latest coming Friday in Miami's 7-6 win over the San Francisco Giants.

"Right now, we need more offense," Guillen said. "We're trying to make things happen. (Stanton) is swinging at strikes. I think this kid is starting to learn how to be patient. He's looking for the right pitch."

Stanton hadn't hit cleanup since April 20.

Morrison went into Friday batting .228 this year but just .154 in May. He went 0-for-2 with two walks, dropping his season average to .224.

"That's very surprising and weird and confusing to see this guy struggling the way he is right now," Guillen said. "I think he is a way better hitter than what he has showed. His ability as a hitter is better than what we are seeing.

"As soon as he went out in the first inning, you kind of see, 'Oh, wow, here we go again.' That's what we see from the dugout."
