Over the weekend Matt Kemp decided to head on down to the “Sayer’s Club” located in Los Angeles to check out his buddy Common’s preview party for his new album titled “The Dreamer, The Believer”. The Colorado Rockies signed free-agent third baseman Casey Blake to a one-year, $2 million contract.
The deal, announced Tuesday, is pending a physical.
The 38-year-old Blake was limited to only 63 games last season with the Los Angeles Dodgers because of injuries.
Blake is a .264 career hitter with 167 home runs and 616 RBIs.

The Dodgers signed lefty reliever John Grabow to a minor league deal, tweeted John Scanlan on Saturday. This morning, MLBTR confirmed the transaction.
Grabow, 33, was acquired by the Cubs from the Pirates in July of '09. He signed a two-year, $7.5MM extension four months later. Over those two seasons Grabow posted a 5.52 ERA, 5.9 K/9, 4.2 BB/9, and 1.4 HR/9 in 88 innings...
