bell in the rain, originally uploaded by pompomflipflop

When it comes to the Mets and September, memories of a New York collapse still brings smiles to the faces of Phillies fans. With the Phillies lead on the East slimming to a mere five games over the Marlins, the Mets would surely love to play the role of spoiler to their hated rivals down the turnpike. They'll have four games to do so this weekend. That is if the rain holds out. My weather man tells me there's a 90% chance of showers.

The scheduled starters for the evening include Cole Hamls for the Phillies and Nelson Figueroa for the Metropolitans. Hopefully the Phils can go walkin' in the rain and run away with this division.* [video below]

*horrible, horrible, I know. But I was listening to this song as I wrote it.
