Joel Sherman of the New York Post says Sandy Alderson is interested in re-signing RHP Chris Young to a minor-league contract. Young, 32, made just four starts for the Mets in 2011 before requiring shoulder surgery to repair a torn anterior capsule in his throwing shoulder in May. He went 1-0 with a 1.88 ERA in 24 innings in 2011.
