Gavin Cecchini suffered an ankle injury on July 3rd against the Staten Island Yankees, and has missed most of the month trying to get healthy. His journey back to the lineup appears to be over:

Cecchini was off to a slow start in Brooklyn as the starting shortstop for the Cyclones. Prior to his injury, he appeared in 15 games, accumulating 54 at-bats. That produced a .259/.305/.315 line, with three doubles, three RBIs, and five runs scored. After hitting .292 to start the year in June, he was hitless in six July at-bats before his ankle injury sidelined him for most of the month.
