The Mets have non-tendered reliever Ambiorix Burgos and second baseman, Argenis Reyes.
I expected the Mets to part company with Burgos, especially after the hit and run car accident in the Dominican Republic that left two women dead. Burgos is expected to get major jail time when the authorities are done with him.
Non-tendering Argenis Reyes, actually came as a big surprise to me.
Not because he was standout player or top prospect, because he is none of those things, but after cutting ties with Easley, it now leaves Luis Castillo as the only viable second baseman on the team.
And no, I don't believe Dan Murphy will be playing second base for the Mets anytime soon.
I guess the Mets have some more corresponding moves planned going forward.
