New York Mets outfielder Willie Harris' wife went into premature labor and lost their baby late Wednesday night.
Harris left Wednesday's game against the Detroit Tigers upon hearing that his wife, Trey, went into labor - just five months into the pregnancy.
He was officially placed on the paternity leave list prior to the latter news. Fernando Martinez was called up from the minors to replace him on the roster.
