Recap: In just the third start of Wily Peralta’s young career, the Mets were completely baffled and continued to struggle offensively as they dropped this one to the Brewers 3-0. Chris Young got the nod for Amazin’s and put together a solid effort, despite allowing home runs to both Ryan Braun and Aramis Ramirez in the fourth and a second bomb to the reigning NL MVP in the sixth. Young finished with a final line of 6 2/3 innings pitched, allowing three runs on eight hits while walking nobody and punching out two, taking the loss while lowering his ERA to 4.37. As for the Mets bats, there was not much to write home about. They had two hits and a pair of walks, they had a runner in scoring position twice in the ballgame and failed to get a runner to third. Josh Thole and Andres Torres accounted for the only hits while the 3-4-5 in the order combined for a 0-for-11 with five strikeouts.
