According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, the Mets have signed infielder Niuman Romero, and assigned to Double-A Binghamton. The 26 year old Romero appeared in two games for Boston last season, and is a career .111 hitter in 12 games with the Indians and Red Sox. He’s hit .250 with a .331 on base percentage in seven minor league seasons.
