According to Matt Eddy of Baseball America, the Mets have signed outfielders Corey Patterson and Mike Wilson to Minor League contracts.
Patterson, 33, last played in the Major Leagues in 2011 with the Cardinals when he hit .157 with three RBI in 57 plate appearances. He played 117 games for Triple-A Nashville in the Brewers organization last season and hit .251 with a .285 OBP, ten home runs and 39 RBI in 387 plate appearances.
Wilson, 29, last played in the Major Leagues in 2011 with the Mariners, hitting .148 in eight games. He spent the entire 2012 season at Triple-A Tacoma in the Mariners organization and hit .239 with a .343 OBP, 12 home runs and 37 RBI in 268 plate appearances over 71 games.
