Lost in the emotional comments made by Jose Reyes, was another clue that the Mets have been disingenuous about the players injuries. The medical staff has been taking a beating for months but more and more signs point to the front office.Look if the Wilpon's couldn't afford to increase salary this off-season after the Madoff scandal, then it would make sense for them to roll the dice on cheaper but riskier players. It would also explain the troubling trends in regards to injuries, it's possible they knew all along the extent of the injuries but attempted to conceal them, to maintain attendance without making trades that would have also increased payroll. It's a good sign that Jose is determined to prove people wrong about him, but it was revealed that he tore his hamstring tendon on June 3rd, meanwhile; I have a post on July 8th with a NY Post quote of Omar saying no trade was making more sense then a returning Jose Reyes.
