Jason Isringhausen hopes to throw a bullpen session today. He felt a pop in his elbow last week, told reporters it was no big deal, took anti-inflammatory medication over the weekend, he rested Monday and long-tossed yesterday.
“If I try to throw [today] and I can’t do it, that could be it for me,” Isringhausen said yesterday, according to Brian Costa of the Wall Street Journal.
Meanwhile, Jose Reyes tells Jim Baumbach of Newsday that walks need to be a bigger part of his game this season, as he works to raise his On Base Percentage. “This year is going to be different,” Reyes says.
Sources familiar with the case and outside legal experts do not expect Irving Picard, Fred Wilpon and Saul Katz will reach a settlement in their $1 billion lawsuit.
