In a scene right out of a movie, Ryan Howard delivered on a young fan’s request for him to hit a home run. Prior to Friday night's game between the Phillies and the Marlins, Ryan met a young blind fan on the field named A.J., who has Leber’s congential amaurosis. During their meeting A.J. handed Howard a bracelet for him to wear and asked him if he could hit a home run for him. Not only did Howard wear the bracelet throughout the game, but he also roped a solo home run to right field in the second inning. You can check out their meeting as well as Howard’s solo shot in the video above.

The Phillies would go on to beat the Marlins by a score of 4-1.

CSN Report: Phillies Continue to Puruse Stanton

According to Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com, the Phillies are still at it. They’ve made a few calls to Miami in an attempt to nab Giancarlo Stanton and will continue to pursue the 23-year-old rightfielder. Now, this should come as no surprise. Twenty-nine other teams should be doing the same thing, as he’s clearly the best young power hitter in baseball, when healthy. Ruben Amaro...

Rumors: Phillies' Chase Utley could be a trade chip in July

Not surprising to most, the Phillies may look to start trading some of the players they can get the most value for in return this season.  Some of those players that stand out as trade candidates are the ones with contracts expiring at the end of this season - like Chase Utley.  If Utley can continue performing well, he will make for a nice trade target come July. Anthony Castrovince...

Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee calls out teammates

Jimmy Rollins - on legacy and leading off

Jimmy Rollins is a legacy player for the Philadelphia Phillies. In a game where few stars play at a premium position such as shortstop and play it as well as he has, Rollins has had a great thirteen seasons. Baseball-reference.com has given him a total of 41.8 WAR for his career. Fangraphs.com has given him 44.8 WAR. So both agree that Rollins has been a terrific player in his career...
