Murphy has had prior knee issues...

Dan Murphy is out 2-6 weeks with a knee injury, for anyone watching yesterday it really didn't appear that he did much and if anything it looked like he rolled his ankle. I rem. reading that Murphy had knee issues in college, in fact John Sickels of Minor League ball said "Questions about defense and injuries hurt his stock with scouts". So even though I don't see him as a starting 1B, I still see him as a productive bench player and was concerned that he might have some sort of chronic knee issue..With JU, Murphy was named 2006 A-Sun Player of the Year and garnered first team all-conference honors after finishing second in the A-Sun with a .398 batting average and 55 RBI despite sitting out eight of the Dolphins' final 10 games with a knee injury. source Atlantic Sun Conference I asked Steve Popper of the Record via twitter and he clarified that while it is the same knee from college but that it's a completely different injury. @Mets_Fever - it is the same...
