My Playoff Roster

Before Joe Torre has a chance to screw up the playoff roster, I figured I would give my thoughts on what I would do with the Dodgers if the roster decision belonged to me. Why? Because i'm a self-centered dick. Woot! Hitters C-Russell Martin C-Danny Ardoin These two are obvious choices. My only suggestion would be to resist the temptation to ever start Martin at third base. Yeah, it was cute for while, but that experiment should be permanently scrapped by now. 1B-James Loney 1B-Nomar Garciaparra I can't believe i'm saying this, but Loney and Garciaparra should platoon in the playoffs. Yes, Loney has been valuable, but he's currently struggling (.556 September OPS) quite a bit. Loney is also struggling against lefties on the year (.668 OPS), and that has been one of Nomar's few strengths (1.067 OPS). Another plus to carrying both of them is that whoever is on the bench instantly becomes either the primary right handed or left handed pinch hitter because of their split numbers. 2B-Blake DeWitt 2B-Jeff Kent If Kent continues...
