J.J. Putz: DL since early June with elbow problems John Maine: DL since early June with shoulder problems Oliver Perez: DL from May-July with knee injury. J.J. Putz was acquired from the Mariners to try and solidify a disgraceful bullpen from a year ago, until he found himself injured as well, and unable to perform because of it.  J.J. would be the #1 closer or setup man on almost every team in the MLB, so this was a huge hit.   The Mets also lost starting pitch...
