Random thoughts/ramblings/game notes on last night’s Phillies game
-Congrats to the Phillies. There were some questions about who was the best team in the NL this year, but these playoffs have really left no doubt. The defending champs have done themselves proud thus far, and should represent the league well in the World Series.
-Assuming the Yankees don’t implode against the Angels, Philadelphia’s likely starter in Game 1 in the Bronx is Cliff Lee. The last playoff series the Yankees were in prior to this year was against the Indians in 2007. Lee, concluding his worst professional season, was left off of Cleveland’s playoff roster.
