Washington Nationals slugger Bryce Harper apparently had Tuesday off from his real job, so instead of just taking it easy and doing whatever it is that Bryce Harper does to chill and relax — although Harper strikes me as the kind of guy who would use the term “chilax” instead of going with both “relax” and “chill,” but that’s another story altogether — he is spending some time fielding phone calls from prospective purchasers of Nationals season-ticket packages. As mentioned above, no “clown questions” likely will be tolerated. Harper even uploaded a photo to his Twitter account to document how Bryce Harper goes about working as a ticket operator. And his tweet: Spending my off day taking season ticket orders! Call 202-675-NATS! Ask for Bryce! twitter.com/Bharper3407/st… — Bryce Harper (@Bharper3407) March 19, 2013 Now that’s exactly how I would expect Harper to man a desk. Kicked-back, feet up and approaching the task with calm, cool and collected focus. Although I cannot tell if he’s rocking the red contact lenses during his ticket-selling side job. But Harper best be careful: Sitting in a chair so recklessly with such wanton disregard for the OSHA-approved specifications of that piece of office furniture could result in Harper going head over heels, resulting in an injury that Harper would himself likely would describe as hurting “like a dick”. And while there is no reason to expect that Washington Nationals young phenom Bryce Harper will not continue his skyrocketing ascent to super-stardom in his upcoming second season in the big leagues, but does that mean the Nationals should be giving him off-the-field responsibilities? Sometimes, I don’t get these big league ballclubs and their attempts to cut costs in any way possible. But hey, at least they didn’t put Harper in one of those jam-packed call centers. That would have sucked. TweetThe post No clown questions, bro: Bryce Harper fielding Nationals season-ticket calls (photo) appeared first on Sportress of Blogitude.
