A day after scoring 14 runs, the Miami Marlins were shut out by the San Diego Padres in a 5-0 loss.  The loss snapped a two game win streak for Miami and quieted some murmurs about an improved offense.   The loss to a fellow team with a losing record dropped the Marlins to 10-23 on the year.   Miami remains in last place in the National League East. Wade LeBlanc returned to the city he began his career in and fell to 0-5 by allowing four runs in five innings of work.   Only three of those runs were earned  but a lack of control was an issue for LeBlanc.   The lefty walked three and threw 86 pitches in the five short innings.   LeBlanc now has a 6.11 E.R.A and is in danger of losing his rotation spot.   Tom Koehler allowed one run on one hit in two innings of work.   Koehler who has done a great job in a middle relief role could be an option to slide into the rotation at some point.    Chad Qualls worked the eighth with a perfect inning of relief. Adeiny Hechavarria doubled a day after his biggest day as a big leaguer.  The two bagger was his first of the year, while Juan Pierre added his fourth double of the season as well.    Chris Coghlan, Rob Brantly, and Justin Ruggiano added the other hits to give Miami five in the game.    Miami was 0-7 with runners in scoring position which ultimately led to the shutout loss.  In all, the team left six on base. The Marlins will look to start a new winning streak on Tuesday with Alex Sanabia scheduled to make the start.
