Who said there wasn't going to be any news coming out of Philadelphia on the NLCS offday between Games 4 and 5?Los Angeles GM Ned Colletti has been awarded a long-term contract extension by the team. Colletti has already served four seasons in the position with the Dodgers winning the NL West and making the NLCS in two of them. I'm sure Colletti would've rather had the news announced after a big Game 3 victory, but the new contract has to come as welcome news to him. With Frank and Jamie McCourt possibly headed toward a messy fight for control of the team, Colletti has just been handed a great deal of security. (The specific terms of the deal have not been announced.) As for Dodgers fans, it seems as if they think the jury is still out on Colletti.
