San Diego Padres first baseman Kyle Blanks left Tuesday's game against the Colorado Rockies with a slightly strained right quadriceps.
Blanks did not emerge from the dugout to begin the bottom of the first. He reached in the top half on a fielder's choice.
Anthony Rizzo came on to replace Blanks, who is listed as day-to-day.
Blanks is hitting .230 with seven homers and 24 RBIs in 51 games.
