It’s About Time: The All-Star Game at Petco
The Padres are asking to host an All-Star Game.
As a Padre fan I’d like to say: what the heck too so long? And don’t tell me that we got the World Baseball Classic instead, that is not a fair trade.
I can’t say I remember the 1978 Mid-Summer Classic (I was busy being born that month). I do remember the buzz created by the game in 1992. The team was pretty good that year...

Busy day for news today as a lot of great stories have popped up from around the web. Two, yes I said two, articles have come from Corey Brock on Padres.com explaining some stuff that is happening this week. Also the team is finally going to try and do something about the issue with Time Warner (about time). There is also news on the pitching side of things with the team. According...
Daily Friar 1.18.13
Where did all the news go? Yesterday was chock full of stories from the Padres and around the league. Today I have three articles, yup, only three. Today is the deadline for teams to trade numbers with their players before leading to arbitration hearings. In fact the deadline was 10AM PST and if you are on twitter following the right people the numbers have been rolling in all morning...
Daily Friar 1.17.13
Busy day around MLB today as the World Baseball Classic rosters are being announced. Also there were a lot of moves made yesterday that need to be reported. It’s arbitration time, so news will be coming in probably every hour of someone getting a pay raise somewhere. Last night Will Venable got his, which leaves the Padres with seven more players to get done before the deadline...
