Padres recall reliever Neshek from Triple-A

The San Diego Padres have recalled veteran reliever Pat Neshek from Triple-A Tucson.Neshek's services were required after the Padres used a trio of relievers in Saturday's 13-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Starter Tim Stauffer lasted just three innings in the blowout, surrendering five home runs.Neshek has had three previous stints with the Padres. He's 1-1 with a 3.75 ERA in 24 appearances for the club this season.San Diego demoted outfielder Blake Tekotte to make room for Neshek. Tekotte batted .182 in 18 games with the Padres.
