Philadelphia Phillies Recall Catcher Dane Sardinha; Send Down Pitcher Mike Zagurski

As expected, the Phillies have called up a catcher as insurance due to Carlos Ruiz’s injury. Ruiz won’t go on the DL, but the team wants to have another option during the several days that Brian Schneider will start. Mike Zagurski was sent down to Triple-A to clear a roster spot. That leaves Antonio Bastardo as the only left-handed relief pitcher on the team, since J.C. Romero is on the DL.
