Along with Jack Cust, the Philadelphia Phillies have released Aaron Heilman from their Triple-A team. Heilman compiled a 8.38 ERA over 9.2 innings for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, and he just allowed four runs on Friday night.
Heilman was on the Arizona Diamondbacks to start the season before he was released. He signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies, and was hoping to make a return to the major leagues.
Heilman reached an agreement with the Pittsburgh Pirates today and will pitch for their Triple-A team
