There is no place like home, the Phillies behind Jonathon Pettibone win over the Pirates 3-2. Pettibone started his first game of the season for the Phillies giving up only 2 runs in 5 1/3 innings striking out 6. The bullpen did the rest shutting down the Pirates the rest of the way, Paplebon picked up his 4th save. On the winning side so far in this home stand, the change in the lineup seems to be a positive change for the Phillies. Rollins who had 2 hits yesterday has raised his average to .273 and knocked in 2 of the Phillies 3 runs. Utley continues with his good start as he also had 2 hits yesterday. Revere has his average over .200 and also seems to have benefitted from the change. The Phillies continue their series with the Pirates tonight in hopes of getting their record back to .500Similar Posts: Phillies start road trip with win in ten innings Phillies waste Lee’s effort, lose to Reds So as Jimmy Rollins goes will the Phillies go Let the season begin, Phillies opening day hope The Phillies Darin Ruf: platoon or trip to minors?
