PLAYERS: David Price
TEAMS: Tampa Bay Rays
Tampa Bays Rays ace David Price was in the mood to hit the links on Monday and that is precisely what he choose to do. Well, sort of. Seen here is the southpaw turning Tropicana Field into his own personal driving range by whacking golf balls as far as he can possibly whack them. The good thing about teeing off inside Tropicana Field is the fact that Price never has to replace his divots considering the turn is completely artificial. His itch to play golf was likely spurred by the presence of Golf Channel host Holly Sonders, who threw the evening's ceremonial first pitch. Via MLB Cut4

A Minor Review of 2013: Rays

There is always a bit of a lull between the end of the minor league playoffs in September and the start of the annual top prospects lists in early November. Because of that gap, I’m breathing new life into an old feature that I wrote for the site in FanGraphs’ infancy back in 2008 and 2009. The series ‘A Minor Review of 2013′ will look back on some of the major happenings...
