OK I’m officially changing Matt Kemp‘s horrible nickname ‘The Bison” to “Demolition Man.” I think that’s a much more fitting and badass name don’t you? Besides this picture is a very telling story of Kemp’s season so far. I mean the dude is simply demolishing the ball.
He’s also demolishing homes for rehab. This picture was taken in L.A. of Kemp doing his thing for society as part of his community services obligations. Is there any more a studly player in the MLB than Matt Kemp right now? Surely there is not.

So today I was scrolling through the “People You May Know” section of LinkedIn when one interesting name popped up: Javy Guerra. Now I’m linked with a few current and former members of the Dodgers front office, so it was no surprise to see a familiar name pop up (after all, that’s how LinkedIn works), but I was surprised that the Dodgers’ closer has a public profile on...
Nathan Eovaldi is headed back to the Dodgers.
The right-hander went 1-2 with a 3.63 ERA in 10 appearances (six starts) last season. He left double-A Chattanooga on Thursday and will join the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Friday, according to the Times Free Press.
The Dodgers have yet to announce the move, so its uncertain who will make room for him on the 25-man roster. Manager Don...
It's not often baseball's best prospect makes his debut against the Dodgers -- and that's exactly what's going to happen tomorrow at the latest.
Bryce Harper was recalled by the Nationals today when their best player, Ryan Zimmerman, was placed on the 15-day disabled list.
Harper, the 2010 No. 1 overall pick, has two "80" grades, according to...
Dee Gordon is turning in highlight reel plays on defense on the regular, which just makes me wish he could do the simple things like catch and throw. Matt Kemp hit this mammoth shot to give the Dodgers a win to put the Dodgers ahead, but Javy Guerra surrendered three runs in the ninth and
Did you go to sleep before you saw this crazy comebacker by BMac that smacked Dodgers' closer Javy Guerra right in the kisser? How he stayed in the game, I don't understand... and neither did anyone else, from the announcers to other players.

As hard as it is to believe, this is the last weekend of baseball at Chavez Ravine in the Frank McCourt era. Just drink that in for a moment. Ahhh. It feels good, doesn’t it?
Bill Shaikin at the LA Times reports that the sale is set to close on schedule this Monday, meaning the Dodgers should take the field on Monday night under the ownership of the guys from Guggenheim Baseball...

This was actually worse than I thought it was when I was listening to it, because they made it sound like it was a deflection off his glove, but it certainly looks to me like it caught him flush on the jaw. Say what you want about his pitching performance, but it’s amazing to me
The Washington Nationals (14-5) will head to Los Angeles today to face the Dodgers (13-6) in a battle for supremacy atop the National League.
Top Flight Hitting vs. Smothering Pitching
The Nationals and the Dodgers have both been two teams of note since this season began, although for different reasons.
The Dodgers have been led by Matt Kemp, who has been tearing it up at...

Everybody wants to find a reason that Javy Guerra is struggling in 2012, especially after he burst onto the scene with a too-good-to-be-true 2011. One common theory? He’s throwing too many fastballs. @ChadMoriyama do you think guerra is throwing too many fastballs especially with 2 strikes? — Brian Rincon (@bmr209) April 26, 2012 I was
Chipper Jones singled home the go-ahead run in his final regular season at-bat at Dodger Stadium after Dan Uggla tied it with his second RBI single earlier in the ninth inning, and the Atlanta Braves defeated Los Angeles 4-2 Wednesday night.
Dodgers closer Javy Guerra (1-3) lost for the third time in his last five apprarances after giving up five consecutive one-out hits in the...
It’s finally here.
Bryce Harper will make his Major League debut tonight against the Los Angeles Dodgers playing left field at Dodger Stadium. The Nationals aren’t in Washington (I kind of always thought they would be when this day arrived) but Stephen Strasburg is on the hill.
From now on, on this April 28th and each April 28th to follow, it’s Bryce Harper Day.
This is just...
Some players are just entering or in the midst of their prime. Guys like Josh Hamilton and Matt Kemp came out slugging to start the year and are early MVP candidates for their respective leagues a month into the season. Meanwhile, there are two guys who supposedly had their best baseball behind them who are off to arguably the hottest starts of their careers. Yes, AL East haters...
