Player Q&A: K-Rod talks anger, fatherhood & winning

Posted in MetsBlog Last week, MetsBlog’s Rich Coutinho talked with Francisco Rodriguez, which you can listen to here: During the interview, Rodriguez told Coutinho: It has always been his dream to come to America and play in the big leagues. He is a lot different now than he was a year ago, and, though he had to go through a ‘real bad process, and make personal changes, to get to this place, he’s happy with who he is. In his time off the field, he rests and sleeps, during the off season he listens to music and spends time at the beach and always tries to spend as much time as possible with his kids. Troy Percival was his mentor when he came up as a rookie, “Everything I know, as far as game preparation and game situations, is because of him,” and he’s trying to do the same for the Mets young pitchers.
