WHITE SOX 6, DODGERS 5 (13) Chad Billingsley didn't have his best stuff today, yet still managed to hold the White Sox hitless over the first four innings. But it all fell apart in the sixth, when fan-favorite A.J. Pierzynski hit a full-count go-ahead three-run homer. Billingsley ended up with three strikeouts over 107 pitches, only escaping the loss when Casey Blake knocked in Orlando Hudson to tie the game in the seventh. (Joe Torre sent the runner on the play, neatly avoiding the inning-ending double play.) The bats of both teams snoozed until the thirteenth, when Scott Podsednik singled in the winning run off Jeff Weaver, in his third inning of relief. So the Dodgers' series winning streaks against the AL and in June come to a crashing halt as they are again in a position to lose three straight for the first time this year. Mariners come into town tomorrow. Dodger fans, you have our permission to take the rest of the day off to recuperate. Photo from the Daily M...
