There’s no way this should be surprising news. Cesar Puello had another monster week for the Binghamton Mets earning him the honor of being named the Eastern League Player of the Week. Puello’s name has been in the news a lot over the past few days because of news surfacing about the Miami Biogensis clinic, but he hasn’t let those distractions get in the way of his play on the field. In 24 at-bats over the past week, the B-Mets outfielder is hitting .500 with five home runs, 13 RBIs, and two doubles. He had also recorded at least two hits in a game six straight times before getting the collar in yesterday’s series finale against Altoona. This streak included a two-homer game, as well as four different multi-RBI games. What he’s been doing over the last two weeks is just insane.
