The deadline for for fans to renew their season tickets for next season is November 7, Mets EVP of Business Operations Dave Howard said on a conference call with bloggers last night.
According to Howard Megdal, last season the deadline for renewal was December 15.
Also yesterday, the Mets said they are ditching the multi-level pricing system they have used in the past; and instead they are switching to a “dynamic pricing” plan for select, single-game seats. In other words, in certain sections, the team will raise ticket prices for games in high demand, but also lower ticket prices for games in less demand.
I have some concerns here…
In regards to the renewal date of Nov. 7, how are fans supposed to know who they’re plunking down big bucks to watch; considering the free agent market will only have been a few days underway at that point.
