Alexi Ogando rejoined the team yesterday and Colby Lewis returned to the mound today.  It’s good to be getting the pitching staff back.  Hopefully the Rangers’ powerful offense will return sometime soon too.  Until then, the pitching staff is going to have to work … hard. Lewis did his part today.  He only gave up one run on three hits in five innings.  It would have been nicer if he could have gone a few more innings, but I’m sure Ron Washington felt it was best to end his day at 75 pitches. The Rangers bats got three runs off the Oakland starter, Travis Blackley, as well.  They got one run in the 5th and then two more in the 6th.  Things were looking pretty good.  Or sounding, since I was listening to the game and not watching. And then the bullpen took over.  With a 3-1 lead.  It should have been enough.  Robbie Ross got out of the 6th just fine, but then allowed a lead-off double to Brandon Inge in the 7th.   Inge and another batter came around to score while Ogando was on the mound,
