When I tuned into the game tonight, I was tired. I probably could have gone to bed at 7 p.m. and fallen asleep with no issues. But I decided to watch the Rangers instead. They didn’t make much of a compelling argument for that decision at first, getting behind 7-1 by the 4th inning.
Poor Martin Perez. Just not a good night. And it was an early one for him. He was in the showers after just three innings. Then the bullpen took over.
And the offense woke up a little too. They had a little rally in the 5th, scoring once. And another in the 6th, scoring twice more. That inning included a Nelson Cruz home run that go out fast. Suddenly, they looked like they had a little life to them. And the score was now 7-4.
The Rangers gave the Indians another run back in the bottom of the 6th, but they weren’t quite done with their own offensive show. Texas pulled within two in the 7th and completely tied it up in the 8th.
It was almost like a new game had started. Each team had eight runs...
