The Tampa Bay Rays dodged arbitration with two of their key players Tuesday, signing outfielder B.J. Upton and pitcher David Price to one-year deals.Upton's deal is worth roughly $7 million plus performance bonuses. The 27-year-old, whose name was bandied about in trade rumors last month, is coming off a season that saw him hit .243 with 23 home runs, 81 RBIs and 36 stolen bases over 560 at-bats.Upton is entering his eighth major-league season with the Rays. He made $4.825 million in 2011.Price will earn $4.35 million after opting out of the six-year deal he signed in 2007, which had him tabbed to make $2.433 million in 2012.The 26-year-old lefthander went 12-13 with a 3.49 ERA and 218 strikeouts over 224 1/3 innings.He remains arbitration eligible until 2016.
