Robinson Cano stepped up to the plate against National League starter Matt Harvey and took a pitch right off the knee.  He went to first after walking it off, but was forced to leave the game after Harvey struck out Miguel Cabrera.  The way the season has gone for the Yankees, Cano will probably end up on the disabled list to start the second half of the season.  Let's hope not!Tweets about "robinson cano"

Cano optimistic about second half

There were a couple interesting things that New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano said during the All-Star Media Day. I’m glad he shot done all questions related to Biogenesis and free agency instead focusing on his team on the field. What I enjoyed the most was to see that he’s optimistic about the second half of the season when the cavalry shows up. On the state of...

Matt Harvey hits Robinson Cano with fastball on knee in All-Star Game

New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano took a 96 MPH fastball off the side of his knee in the 1st inning of the 2013 MLB All-Star game.  New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey clearly felt bad about it afterwards, especially since Cano ended up leaving the game.  I’m sure Yankees fans are collectively holding their breath. Roc Nation Sports Brokers Pepsi Endorsement Deal for Robinson Cano

Scott Boras, you over baby Robinson Cano, you coming with me These n***s is like rotary phones It’s a new day, hit up KD Jay-Z “Crown” I don’t think Boras is overly concerned, but for those who are wishing for Jay-Z’s downfall in the sports agency world, it seems more and more that will be highly unlikely. Bartolo Colon smacks Robinson Cano’s son silly

credit bleacherreport.com Congratulations to Oakland A’s slugger, Yoenis Cespedes, for becoming the new Home Run Derby King.  Cespedes beat out Washington Nationals young phenom, Bryce Harper, by hitting 32 bombs out.  But the knockout punch came from Yoenis’ Oakland A’s teammate, Bartolo Colon, who overzealous celebrated a little too much.  Right before Colon hugged...

Dumb Yankee Fan Who Ran Onto The Field

Last night, during the All Star Game at Citi Filed, a Yankee fan decided to act on a dare from his Twitter followers urging him to run out onto the field. And the 18-year old wasted no time hopping over the 3 1/2 foot barrier and dashed for second base donning his Robinson Cano t-shirt. Security was on him like white on rice and the first one to reach him body slams the kid to the...

All-Star security fells infamous fan

Mariano Rivera was the MVP of Tuesday night's MLB All-Star Game on FOX, but New York's biggest star was the security that stopped a fan who ran on the field. The most exciting moment of the night happened during a commercial break, when one ambitious fan wearing a Robinson Cano shirt ran onto the Citi Field diamond, only to be leveled by a stadium security guard. The fan...

Every so often at the trade deadline a star player gets traded that nobody saw coming. We here at The Outside Corner, however, are not intimidated by the lack of prescience of others. As such, we shall attempt to identify who some of the players that are candidates for the big, deadline surprise deal could be even though predicting something that is inherently unpredictable is something...

The weirdest MLB All-Star Game moments in video, GIFs and pictures

The 2013 Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be remembered for a couple of reasons.
