Yesterday the buzz was all about Ryan Howard's two home run game and Cliff Lee's latest show of brilliance. Naturally it was easy to overlook a couple tidbits concerning some bullpen pitchers making some rehab news.

J.C. Romero and Clay Condrey each pitched 35 pitch bullpen sessions yesterday in the morning at Bright House Field in Clearwater. Both sessions apparently went well and the two relievers appear in good spirits.

Romero stated he expects to be back with the Phillies before the season is over, making him available for the playoffs if necessary.

Brett Myers also threw an inning in a rehab game for Clearwater. It was his second rehab game since going on the disabled list earlier this season. Myers walked one batter but did not allow a hit and reached 93mph on the radar gun. The Phillies had previously stated Myers would make four or five rehab starts before rejoining the team. Myers is unsure when he will pitch next.
