Found June 07, 2013 on Nationals Enquirer:
PLAYERS: Ian Krol
TEAMS: Washington Nationals
Already one rainout removed from his sparkling major league debut Wednesday night, who could blame Nats rookie Ian Krol for eagerly arriving for work on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, Krol missed the important fact that the Nationals announced the game's postponement around noon: HA! Didn't even notice the game was cancelled until I got to the clubhouse. #embarrassing lol — Ian Krol (@IanKrolTKB) June 7, 2013 Someone should also fill in the rookie that DC traffic ALWAYS sucks. It wasn't just today, kid: Traffic's been terrible today!!

Harper to visit Dr. James Andrews

This is certainly not the news that Washington Nationals and their fans were hoping to hear regarding their young stud outfielder.

Two days off could help the Nationals

Tropical storm Andrea drenched the Washington D.C area Thursday night and Friday afternoon forcing the Washington Nationals to post-pone both Thursday and Friday’s game. Thursday’s being the last of three gamesagainst the New York Mets and Friday’s being the first of three against the Minnesota Twins. Davey: "It's very frustrating, it's getting my dander up. We're better than this."

Twins 4, Nationals 3 (11 innings): At what point is the question: "Are they better than this?" worth asking? 2 games under .500. Repeat after me: It's ony spring training. It's still early. Video of Davey Johnson talking to the media postgame about getting his dander up. Interestingly, Davey also commented about his team seeming "lackadaisical". Wonder...

Nationals' Danny Espinosa receives cortisone injection, still has shoulder problems

Let's not forget, Danny Espinosa is battling more than a fractured wrist.  He was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff this past offseason, but he decided to play through it instead of undergoing surgery.  The shoulder and the wrist are giving Espinosa problems as he tries to work his way back from the DL. According to Chase Hughes of CSN Washington, Espinosa received an...

Twins look to rebound against Gonzalez, Nationals

Gio Gonzalez may be looking forward to just stepping on the mound. Some offensive production would be a welcome change, though the Washington Nationals aren't expected to have one of their top sluggers back for a while. After being named in a report involving an investigation about performance-enhancing drugs, Gonzalez attempts to win for the first time in a month as the Nationals...

Nationals' Bryce Harper to see Dr. Andrews Monday

We've said it here before, and we'll say it again.  An unexpected visit to Dr. James Andrews is never a good thing.  In Bryce Harper's case, it could mean the worst case scenario for the Washington Nationals.  Harper has scheduled a visit to Dr. Andrews on Monday to get a second opinion on his ailing knee. According to Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post, Harper...

Bryce Harper Going To See Dr. Andrews

Bryce Harper has been put on the 15-day disable list for knee bursitis. Harper was doing some light jogging in the pool and the knee still kept swelling up. Unfortunately, it sounds like he will be heading to see Dr. Andrews on Monday to check out the knee. “I thought if he took some anti-inflammatory [medicine] it would calm it down, but it’s kind of been lingering,” Davey...

Twins hope to keep Nationals down in doubleheader

The Washington Nationals just can't seem to get on track. Not coincidentally, the same can be said for their hitting and pitching. Jordan Zimmermann will try to give his sinking club a much-needed boost Sunday by tying for the major league lead in wins in the opener of a doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins. Washington is struggling to stay in contention with 12 losses...

Twins look to bounce back with win over Nationals

Gio Gonzalez may be looking forward to just stepping on the mound. First, he'll need the weather to cooperate. After having his start pushed back the past two days due to rain, Gonzalez looks to win for the first time in a month as the Nationals try again to open their three-game set with the Minnesota Twins on Saturday. Gonzalez's name appeared in a January report involving...

Mets-Nationals rained out

The game between the New York Mets and Washington Nationals scheduled for Thursday night was postponed because of rain. The game never got started. No makeup date was immediately announced.
