Rumors : Mets have interest in Javier Vazquez

In the Chicago Tribune, it appears that the Mets have interest in Javier Vazquez. The source in the paper did not know what the Mets would be offering but it seems the Mets might be willing to take the $23 Million that is owed to him over the next two seasons which means that it won't be probably a lot.

As I posted in the past, the White Sox are looking to fill 2nd base and 3rd base because Joe Crede and Orlando Cabrera are both free agents. I would not be surprised if the Mets can give them Luis Castillo and eat some of his salary for starters. The Mets also have Aaron Heilman who many would not be surprised if dealt..
