The Los Angeles Dodgers injury situation this season has been something to behold. Sunday the team recalled Matt Magill from AAA to start in place of Hyun-Jin Ryu who is still battling soreness in his foot after using it to stop a groundball last time out. Magill was less than stellar as the young right-hander was hammered for seven runs (six earned) in a 7-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies were able to take advantage of the nine walks issued by Magill in his six innings of work but the real damage was done by way of four home runs including two off the bat of Dexter Fowler. The nine walks were the most allowed by a Dodgers pitcher in less than nine innings in franchise history. Jorge De La Rosa held the Dodgers to just two runs and six hits over seven innings with the only runs coming on a second inning double from Skip Schumaker that scored Andre Ethier and Luis Cruz. The Dodgers combined to strikeout nine times as Rockies pitching barely had to work against the weak hit...

If anyone had doubts about Yasiel Puig's ability to be a right fielder long-term, just check out the last play of his Major League debut Monday night. Wow. Yasiel Puig was called up for one reason and one reason only

Behold! My skills! To reenact the scene where Mo Vaughn tackles George Bell to protect Aaron Sele. Seriously though, apparently something like this is likely to happen, but should it? While I understand the emotions as much as anybody, the Dodgers will unfairly never get actual retribution for Carlos Quentin being an idiot, and getting Stephen Fife ejected in the first inning is...

It’s been a tough week for Matt Kemp injury-wise. First, he was hit on the right elbow by a pitch and had to be removed later in that game due to numbness. For the second time in four days, Matt Kemp was replaced by Skip Schumaker in center field during the game. But on Tuesday against the Angels, the ninth inning move happened because Kemp felt numbness after he was hit by a pitch...
