Funny-man and die-hard Mets fan Jerry Seinfeld hit Twitter after third baseman David Wright connected a solo home run to right-center field for his 12th homer of the year during the ninth inning at Nationals Park on Wednesday night.
The ball sailed just over a sign for reruns of Seinfeld's show on DC's CW Network as Nats outfielders Rick Ankiel and Bryce Harper looked on. Watch the video here.
Unfortunately for Jerry, the Mets fell short of a rally in the ninth inning and lost 4-3, marking their sixth straight loss. Ouch, tough times. Must be hard for him to watch this skid while sitting at home on the couch next to the puppy he named Jose Reyes back in November.
