The Los Angeles Dodgers received more bad news on the medical front on Thursday: Dee Gordon will need surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb and will miss six weeks. Gordon was the third Dodger in three days to be placed on the disabled list, joining Todd Coffey (Tommy John surgery, Tuesday) and Andre Ethier (left oblique strain, Wednesday). But the Dodgers somehow keep plugging along. The Dodgers, left for dead after losing seven straight games and 12 of 14, have won three straight and four of their last five games after Thursday's 4-1 win in Arizona and are back in first place in the National League West, a game and a half up on the Giants. "(Gordon is) going to be fine. It's going to be a temporary thing," the manager Don Mattingly told MLB.com. "This is six weeks. You'll be right here playing.
