The Cubs split the first two games at Wrigley back in June (June 17 - June 18) and lost two of three on the South Side (June 26 - June 28). The original match-up for this game on June 16 was Carlos Zambrano versus John Danks. The Cubs were 30-30 at the time while the Sox were 30-34. The question was at the time of the postponement was would this game mean anything to each team in September. Nearly three months later the answer to the question is no.
