Teams must take a hint from Wagner, Gordon deals

Mets closer and former Phillie Billy Wagner is owed approximately $13.5 million through 2009. It's likely he's played his last game as a New York Met, just as Tom Gordon played his last with the Phils on July 5. Passing on Wags' four-year, $43 million deal looks better by the minute, but the Phils didn't exactly hit the jackpot with Flash's three-year, $18M deal.
