The Los Angeles Dodgers place Casey Blake back on the D.L.

The Dodgers have placed 37-year old righty starting 3B Casey Blake on the 15-day disabled list with a cervical strain. Blake has played in 44 games for the Dodgers so far this year and he is 34 for 140 (.243 avg, .731 OPS) with 23 runs scored, 4 homers, 18 RBIs and 1 stolen base. All of the injuries the Dodgers have suffered have given Jamey Carroll and Aaron Miles chances to shine this year. The only problem with that is they don’t have any power at all. The Dodgers hope Blake isn’t out too long.
